Best Beaches of South Goa for Solo Travellers

South Goa is a place where one can visit with fewer tourists compared to North Goa. And also, these beaches witness fewer tourists which in turn help you to enjoy the places in sound mind. Many such beaches lining South Goa that one can visit easily and the waves here are also not so harsh so you can take a dip and enjoy the cool waters here.

Here are some of the beaches that can be visited during your visit to South Goa that is picturesque.

1) Palolem Beach

Located in Canacona, Palolem Beach is one of the major beaches in South Goa and is unspoilt with major tourists. It has some of the best natural beauty and is covered with trees at one end and that part is known as Green Land.  Dotted with shacks soon after monsoon ends, Palolem Beach was one of the beaches featured in Hollywood flick, The Bourne Supremacy. Enjoy the sand, shack and water here at Palolem Beach.

2) Varca Beach

Another famous beach in South Goa is the Varca beach which is on the top of the list to visit because of the fact that you can witness the beautiful sunsets here. Located just 2 km from Benaulim, Varca Beach is known for its white sands and unspoilt beachside. Varca Beach is ideal for sightseeing as sometimes you can witness Dolphins swimming near the ocean. Enjoy the coastal food and witness the sunset over the beautiful beach of Varca.

3) Cavelossim Beach

Located near to the Arabian Sea and River Sai shoreline, Cavelossim beach is an untouched location that one can visit if they want to enjoy the serenity that nature has to offer us. The beach has black lava rocks and white sand which makes this a picturesque location and the magnificent shoreline. You can explore the place near Cavelossim beach which has old town vibes and also visit the Church of Holy Cross to offer prayers. Cavelossim Beach is located around 12kms from Benaulim and is best visited during the non-peak seasons.

4) Patnem Beach

Patnem beach is a beach which you can visit to do yoga, meditation as this does not have any water sport activities and are visited by fewer tourists. You can go to this beach for excellent coastal dishes, untouched waters and enjoy some drinks in the shacks here. You can also undertake a cooking class here which many places offer. During the nights, this beach will be empty and the only handful of tourists gather here with musical instruments and enjoy playing music on an empty beachside.

5) Polem Beach

Polem beach is the southernmost beach of Goa bordering Karnataka. This beach is extremely silent as it receives little to no tourist which is why you can enjoy. When you visit this beach, surely it will turn into a relaxing holiday and with fewer tourists, you can enjoy your stay here with quiet surroundings and you can meditate your way through the day.
