Best beaches in North Goa for solo travellers

As an offbeat traveller, I dig deep the internet to find some of the less touristic beaches and these are the places which have less touristic and more calmness and one can enjoy the peaceful surrounding with ocean waters and waves. Thus speaking, A Lone Backpacker would wish to mention some of the beaches in North Goa that can be visited and enjoy what nature has to offer us.

1) Arambol Beach

Located in Northern Part of Goa, Arambol is a quaint surrounding filled with tourists who come here for chilling and do Yoga. Arambol also has some amazing beaches which are dotted with a beautiful coastline and they are amazing to visit. Experience free parties during full moon nights and explore the hippie place of Arambol on your visit here.

2) Querim Beach

This beach is located at the northernmost tip of Goa bordering the neighbour state of Maharashtra. This is typically a less explored beach of North Goa as many people might not have heard and when it’s not heard, it’s empty or visited by fewer tourists. Hence, saying when you visit you might notice locals and fisherman who visit here due to work. You can chill enjoy, meditate and explore the empty beach of Querim and explore the place with a sound mind.

3) Kalacha Beach

Located near Arambol beach and is nearly a 20-minute walk from Arambol, Kalacha Beach is the less populated beach and is a perfect photographic beach to visit. Hike your way to this beach as this can be visited only via walk/hike and enjoy the cool waters and chill by the beachside listening to your favourite songs. If you want you can also do meditation and relax.

4) Mandrem Beach

Although more populated than Arambol, yet a scenic location to visit, Mandrem Beach is located just south of Arambol Beach and one can visit this beach which is dotted with shacks and enjoy the food and drinks looking out at the ocean. Or if you want to take a dip in the ocean you can do that as this is less populated you can find plenty of places to take a dip.

5) Paliem Sweet Water Lake

A hidden gem in North Goa, Paliem Sweet Water Lake is a freshwater lake situated near to Arambol and can be accessed asking the locals. Why this is hidden because it is not known by travellers and they need to hike a bit to reach. It has natural hot water springs, surrounded by greenery and hills which makes it a typical offbeat location. The locals call this lake Vagkolam. Take a dip here and enjoy the surroundings when you visit Arambol.
